Checking in at 2pm was frustrating since I didn't get my room key until 3pm. It felt annoying waiting, especially after a long journey. Plus, the fake sheepskins on the bed seemed unclean and unnecessary for comfort.

It has a privileged situation on the river, with very nice views, very careful service and food is excellent. rooms are comfortable and spacious.
only downside to it is that it doesn't have an elevator, staff is very friendly and we got the big suitcases upstairs.

Nice hot and delicious breakfasts, hotel was kept impeccably clean.
Everything was really good, including extremely helpful and very efficient staff who gave good customer service. The hotel was in an unbeatable location adjacent to the restaurant in the evenings and bridge near centre of Ludlow. Also, a restored Norman citadel was situated just 1 km away.

I’m really picky when it comes to accommodations, but the Charlton Arms just blew away all my usual reservations. This stylish, centrally located hotel was perfect for our family stay. The welcoming bar area had cozy spots for a drink, and the owner was fabulous, ensuring my breakfast was just right. With stunning river views and really good food, I can't wait to return next year!

Had a lovely three-night stay where I enjoyed the cozy twin room and the fantastic view from the restaurant, which made every meal special. The sun terrace was a great spot to unwind, and I also appreciated the leisure lounge for some downtime. The bathroom could use a little update, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience – definitely recommend checking it out! 😊

A perfect spot for a couple's retreat
We stayed in the Othello room worked out great. There was a hot tub, a balcony overlooking the river. We enjoyed relaxing outside while watching the wildlife, it was amazing.
It wasn't exactly cheap but worth every penny.

The dinner was amazing, and everyone loved the freshly prepared breakfast with plenty of choices. Perfect spot for family bonding with mum!
In my kids' opinion, a dedicated play area for them would be great.

Great for a couple wanting a cozy escape
The food was lovely, especially the black pudding and smoked haddock scotch egg, one of the best starters I've ever savored. The view over the river from our room was nice, like a painting that changes with the light.
It wasn't cheap, but the experience was still acceptable.

It was just a commendable fit for a flash visit in Ludlow with all in all great value for money. The scotch egg we had was very nice, but the main dishes lacked flavor. If looking for a good meal, consider exploring other local options for a better experience.
